If I remember right, he found the reason and his fork supports mingw
out of the box.
I didn't find the reason for it instantly and just shipped an
pre-compiled omake for bootstrapping.
(The bug wasn't triggered until some gcc update and only affected the
byte code version - which is used during bootstrapping but not
thereafter)
